Knock Box is a training metronome that aims to enhance your internal sense of time. The device offers unique phrasing structures, providing varying intervals between clicks to encourage the reliance on one's internal timing. Rather than passively playing along, Knock Box prompts active engagement with your internal rhythm. Users can personalize their experience by selecting a phrase, tempo, and sound.

Step 1 – Select a Phrase

• Select a 2, 4, 8, or 16 Measure Phrase. Opting for a 0 Measure Phrase transforms Knock Box into a standard metronome.

Step 2 – Select a Sound

Knock Box offers various metronome sounds, from bells and blocks to traditional beep and blip sounds, allowing users to choose their preferences.

Step 3 – Select a Tempo

• Choose a tempo within the range of 39 to 249 BPM using the (-) and (+) buttons for adjustment.

Step 4 – Training Commences!

• Initiate the play function to activate Knock Box for a 2-measure count-off.
• Following the count-off, Knock Box smoothly transitions into the selected phrase, ensuring that you begin playing after the count-off concludes.
• The tempo remains constant while metronome note values shift towards larger values until only one click initiates the phrase.

The progression involves starting with Quarter notes, advancing to Half notes and Whole notes, and continuing through increasing note values until reaching the maximum length of the phrase. For instance, when opting for a 4 Measure Phrase, Knock Box will cycle through Quarter Notes, Half Notes, Whole Notes, Double Whole Notes, Quadruple Whole Notes, Double Whole Notes again, Whole Notes again, Half Notes again, and finally back to Quarter Notes. This incremental shift impels users to develop their internal sense of time effectively.

The gradual transition in note values empowers users to explore heightened independence in timing during extended play sessions. Mastering synchrony with a singly occurring click once every 16 measures in a 16 Measure phrase beckons an exciting challenge achievable through dedicated practice.
